This filmed in Israel American Graffiti influenced teenage sex comedy was produced by Golan-Globus. It was the second part of the popular Lemon Popsicle series and was re-titled Going Steady in America. It’s about the sexual misadventures of Benji (Yftach Katzour) a teenager growing up in Tel Aviv in the 50’s. The best part of the movie is the great soundtrack featuring wall to wall rock n’ roll music of the 50’s (as in American Graffiti). It’s pretty juvenile and not really funny, but at least it came out before Porky’s. Writer/director Boaz Davidson went on to write and produce many Sci-Fi Channel movies.
