This unintentionally hilarious pseudo-documentary narrated and executive produced by Ivan (“This is my country!”) Marx is for anyone who thought that The Legend of Boggy Creek was the real McCoy. Marx goes on a one man journey to document and photograph the legendary monster in the Pacific Northwest. He talks (a LOT) over tons of silent nature footage (with some sound effects added) and appears onscreen looking for the supposed Sasquatch. The shots of Marx don’t match the stock footage very well (the shot of an obviously stuffed bear standing in for a dead one is especially hilarious) and the faked Bigfoot footage isn’t too convincing either. The funniest part is when Marx sees the “glowing eyes” of Bigfoot (actually a car’s headlights) in “the middle of the night” (it looks more like mid-afternoon) that “disappears behind a rainbow”! You know you’re in trouble when a wounded squirrel provides the most drama.
