THE SEVEN BROTHERS MEET DRACULA (1974) ***

Dracula takes the form of a Chinese priest and raises the Seven Golden Vampires and an army of scary looking zombies. They sacrifice some topless virgins and wipe out an entire town. Meanwhile, Professor Van Helsing (Peter Cushing) teams up with his son and seven kung fu fighting brothers (plus one sister), led by David Chiang (who also played the second One Armed Swordsman) to stop Dracula. This flick has it all, vampires, zombies that crumble to dust when their heart is pierced, and non stop kung fu fighting. This was a co-production between British horror masters Hammer Studios and Hong Kong kung fu legends the Shaw Brothers. Also starring Julie Ege and the love interest. Directed by Roy Ward (Tales From the Crypt) Baker. Also released in a fifteen minute longer version under the title, Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires. The ads read: “Black Belt Against Black Magic!”
