Pamela Duncan stars as a prostitute who signs up to be hypnotized by a doctor studying past lives. He regresses her back to medieval times where she’s a maiden falsely accused of being a witch. Allison (Attack of the 50 Foot Woman) Hayes is the real witch who along with her imp (Billy Barty), can turn into a cat and a weird looking bat. The doctor travels back in time and makes a deal with the devil to save her. Director Roger Corman makes things as confusing as possible by going back and forth between the two time periods seemingly at random. It is fun however, to see his regular stable of actors (Mel Welles, Bruno VeSota and Dick Miller) in small roles. Corman, ever the penny pincher, re-used the bats for It Conquered the World the next year.
