EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) is the jumping off point for this potentially interesting but seriously flawed supernatural drama. Michael Keaton’s wife drowns in an accident, but shortly thereafter, her spirit comes back as static in radios and TVs. Keaton begins communicating with her, but he soon starts seeing other faces in the static. He figures out that the faces of the people he sees aren’t dead yet and he can actually prevent their deaths using clues hidden in the static. Unfortunately this plot twist also involves three killer shadowy figures that look like rejects from the Patrick Swayze flick Ghost. Keaton is excellent, but the film is slow and uneven. The finale is especially weak. Also starring Deborah Kara (Crash) Unger.
