In the proud tradition of Blues Brothers 2000, Pokemon 2000 and Godzilla 2000 comes a new update on the old legend, executive produced by Wes Craven. Foolish thieves led by Omar (Scream 2) Epps steal Dracula's crypt from Van Helsing (Christopher Plummer) thinking there are precious jewels inside. It turns out to be ol' Drac himself (duh!). He quickly goes about putting the bite on present day Mardi Gras. While becoming accustomed to his new surroundings (like watching a Powerman 5000 video, which the Count calls: "BRILLIANT!"), he searches for Van Helsing's daughter. The film does offer a surprise or two (i.e. Dracula's true identity) and while it's cheesy as cheddar, it's a lot of fun. The best part is Dracula's trio of hotties; Jennifer (Don't Say a Word) Esposito, Jeri (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) Ryan and Colleen Fitzpatrick (AKA: pop star Vitamin C, who has a topless sex on the ceiling scene). Epsosito has the best line when she tells Jonny Lee (Sickboy from Trainspotting) Miller, "I don't want romance, I just want to suck!"
