Steven Seagal should really stop trying to save the environment. Fire Down Below is a lot better than his similarly themed On Deadly Ground, but it’s still pretty shoddy. He plays an undercover agent who tries to stop Kris Kristofferson from dumping toxic waste in an Appalachian mine. If you love Seagal, country music and are an honorary member of the EPA, this movie is for you! The only bright spot is Marg Helgenberger as the town recluse. Other than that, it should be called Fire Down Below Par. Besides Kristofferson, country stars Randy Travis and Travis Tritt also appear. Also with Harry Dean Stanton and Richard Masur.
